Columbus, OH

Geometric concrete bridge supports creating symmetric patterns underneath a highway overpass.

Anyone who may have read my previous entry on Columbus knows that what I'm about to say is a big shift; but I have fallen in love with this city, so much so that I moved to it in October 2025.

There were a lot of reasons for this move - partially due to ending my marriage, partially due to the fact that one of my oldest friends lives here and I'm so glad to be living close to her again. But I've really been diving in headfirst into getting to know the city and it is much more vibrant than I had once thought.

There is always something going on. Some kind of festival or community event to stumble upon in my walks. I can't count the number of times already where I've turned a corner to find something interesting happening with people gathering in communal joy - there is an energy to this city that I haven't experienced elsewhere in Ohio, and I'm excited to build my life here.
